ARE ALL CAMPS HELD ON THE UNC WILMINGTON CAMPUS?
Yes, campers will live in air conditioned dorms on the grounds of UNC Wilmington. All of the training sessions in the same gyms that our UNCW Women’s Volleyball and Basketball Program use.
WHAT DOES EACH CAMPER RECEIVE?
Each camper receives a UNC Wilmington Camp T-shirt, and volleyball. In addition, skills and team prizes are awarded each week of camp.
IS A PHYSICAL EXAM REQUIRED TO ATTEND CAMP?
You must download and complete the Medical Form (click here to download) and you will be required bring this form with you to camp along with a copy of your insurance card. This form does NOT require a physician’s signature; rather, a parent/guardian must sign the form. Campers will not be allowed to participate without this form.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY DAUGHTER IS INJURED OR SICK DURING CAMP?
There is around the clock medical supervision, which includes athletic trainers at all sites during the duration of camp, as well as a trainer that resides in the dorms in case of emergency. In addition, we have use of our Sports Medicine facility on campus for injury treatment if needed.
HOW DO I SIGN MY TEAM UP FOR HIGH SCHOOL TEAM CAMP?
High school coaches must contact camp director, Amy Bambenek, to reserve a spot.
Space it limited! Send an email to bambeneka@uncw.edu with your High School Name, contact info, and estimated number of participants. Each individual player should register online and make sure to list their high school name.
DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNTS?
Currently, We are offering a $30 discount if you pay in full by April 1st. UNCW Faculty/Staff receive an additional discount off their child’s registration.
WHEN IS THE REMAINING BALANCE DUE?
Final payment due by first day of camp.
DOES MY DAUGHTER NEED ANY MONEY AT CAMP?
We suggest $50 for your daughter. The camp store will have volleyball apparel for sale such as t-shirts, spandex, key chains, sweatshirts etc. Located in Track Coliseum, there will also be snacks and drinks available. At night after the last sessions pizza will be for sale.
WHAT IS THE COACH-TO-CAMPER RATIO?
At our full day camp, we have one coach for every 8-10 campers. Each court will have a Head Coach and an assistant coach.

All major credit cards accepted. Mail in registrations are accepted, along with check payable to: Amy Bambenek Volleyball Camps. You will receive an email confirmation directing you to the forms page online. It is your responsibility to complete the form and bring it to camp, along with other information listed online.
WHAT SHOULD MY DAUGHTER BRING TO CAMP?
Volleyball equipment (volleyball shoes, knee pads, multiple T-shirts, spandex etc.)
Pillow case, bed sheets, blanket
Alarm clock
Toiletries articles
Sunscreen (Sand Court training opportunities)
A positive attitude!
Please do not bring additional personal equipment (stereos, TV’s etc.)
ARE PARENTS ALLOWED TO WATCH?
Definitely. You are welcome to attend any of the training and games.
ARE THERE ANY REFUNDS?
The deposit of $75 is applied to your balance and is non-refundable. Documented medical/personal reasons will be considered. All campers will be under constant supervision and may be expelled from camp if there is a discipline problem. No refunds will be issued upon expulsion or voluntary withdrawal from camp once it has begun.
